Meet Rocco, our August Pet of the Month! Rocco has been coming to West Charleston Animal Hospital since day one, and we’ve had the pleasure of watching him grow into the big, beautiful Rottie he is today.His favorite treat is a classic puppy cup, and he loves spending his time at the dog park or going for car rides with his head out the window. Rocco is incredibly affectionate and full of love for everyone he meets. He’s a true cuddle bug who still thinks he’s a lap dog. Durban and Coyote are the perfect duo, each with their own special charm. Durban is the ultimate protector, always making sure the home is safe and giving me that unwavering sense of security. He loves his early morning walks at the park, chasing his ball, and of course, nothing beats a good raw marrow bone. Coyote, on the other hand, is my little comedian—trotting around with boundless energy, using his paws to get my attention, and staying so close he sometimes walks right into me. He’s a total spaz in all the best ways. Remington (Remy) and Harper love blueberries, carrots, veggies, and Trader Joe’s Bear round biscuits. Their favorite activities include napping, getting into mischief, chasing each other, and waiting for the postman, Amazon, FedEx, and UPS drivers to express their opinions. They delight in chasing lizards and cats that dare to appear on the patio, enjoy car rides, and love shopping trips with their Mama in their stroller. Remy, ever the loyal shadow, stays close by at all times, while Harper thrives on adventure and independence. Peanut is a cheese-loving bundle of joy who lives for chasing the hose and riding in her bike cart, and becomes especially playful in the evenings, showing off her nighttime zoomies from 8 to 10 p.m. Jack Jack, on the other hand, is a delightful mix of derpiness and chaos; he adores pupperonis, has a mischievous habit of snacking on toilet paper, and keeps everyone laughing with his goofy antics while playing fetch.

Pico, a beloved diabetic cat, has adapted well despite not being able to enjoy his treats anymore. He finds joy in his meals and looks forward to being brushed each night before settling in to watch Jeopardy. When the weather permits, Pico delights in outdoor play, particularly with his cherished stuffed Cheshire Cat and by playfully nipping ankles to grab attention. He also indulges in sharpening his claws and cuddling with his grandma.
